A No Bullshit Food Review of Stoney Knob in Asheville, North Carolina

Located in Weaverville, approximately 10 minutes north of Asheville, this eclectic, one-of-a-kind restaurant that makes you feel good as you’re welcomed with a big hug by the Greek family that owns the place. The menu offers American fare with a Mediterranean twist, and I have never tasted a dish I disliked.  It is family friendly, not five star, yet consistent. If you are looking for a good meal, not fancy, and coconut cream pie, it will always deliver.  Stoney Knob offers some of the best fish dishes in Asheville.

What we love- Brunch. With selections of tacos, eggs Benedict, and chicken and waffles, the chicken and waffles take the win. Typically this is not even a dish I would try, however the waiter sold me on it, promising me my traditional favorite of eggs benny if I did not like it. Truth, the chicken and waffles will melt in your mouth, and nothing could stop my fork and knife from scooping up another bite to taste.  Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s are available.

For lunch the salmon is always a great choice, and for dinner always ask about the daily special. The restaurant can get crowded and noisy. It is a place to go for your everyday day or night out, whether it is with friends or family. Lunch is always busy with locals on break from work. In Weaverville, it is the best option for food selections, bar menu, and a good meal.

Tip: Avoid busy times. There can be a long wait.
