'Virgin River’ Meets ‘Gilmore Girls’ At These Top 7 Hometown Inns To Pop The Question “Will You Marry Me?”

The Park Avenue address was the perfect accommodation pairing for a quick New York City escape. The quiet elegance suited the need for a place to restfully dream bigger. Taking my polaroid to the streets, Park Ave instantly became a favorite view of this concrete jungle with expansive architectural buildings and tree lined medians.

New York City never sleeps. The madness of Times Square and chaos of viewers peeking at the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree was mind boggling. Imagine spending New Years Eve with millions of people trying to push their way through one big mosh pit. No thank you! However, a quest for two incredible days in NYC proved a success with allowing discovery mode to settle in.

waldorf astoria New York CityThe Waldorf Astoria exudes elegance, and makes a prominent statement in the city. The history and stories the walls of this luxury hotel have seen, is something made for the movies.

Dinner reservations at Spice Market, located in the “it” scene of the meat packing district, provided a happy dance for the taste buds. The whiskey cocktail, Whiskey Passion Fizz, blended sweet and spice perfectly in liquid heaven, reminding of a sign hanging in my room as a child – “Little girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice!” The Southeast Asia eatery menu complimented with take me away decor, leaving visitors feeling as if they had traveled to a far, far away place for the delicate, yet flavor packed dishes.

Bryant Park Winter Wonderland NYCThe polaroid was a hit at Bryant Park, where hundreds skated hand in hand on the beautiful sun-kissed day. Adult winter warmer beverages at rink-side venue Celsius included the Snow Cap and the Après Cider with the addition of Amaretto. Families, children, and couples sharing laughter, beckoned Polaroid photos to be taken and shared, while joy spread through conversation and simple glances. The Winter Village at Bryant Park is open thru March 1, 2015, a must-do if visiting the city. It is a magical winter moment escape for couples or families within the city.bryant park New York City

A show is a must while visiting New York. The theater district is hustling and bustling with many options at your fingertips, so naturally an invitation to view Wicked was gladly accepted. Revealing the truth that there are two sides to every story, Wicked and Elphaba captured hearts, while the creative talent impressed an entire audience.

Late night snacking to consider of course, is a slice of New York Style pizza or roasted chestnuts. A stroll through Central Park, lobster rolls in Times Square, and photographing details of magnificent building structures on 5th, 6th, and Madison Avenues quenched the thirst for awe-inspiring architectural skylines.

Long enough to relish in the taste, sights, sounds, and have New York experiences that leave you speechless, 48 hours here stimulates the mind and reminds all the possibilities in our dreams. I <3 New York!
